Why I Created the For When Series: Reflections for Life’s In-Between Seasons

There are seasons in life that don’t come with clear names.
They aren’t dramatic enough to feel like a crisis.
They aren’t joyful enough to feel like celebration.
They’re simply… in-between.
The quiet moments when something feels unsettled.
When you’re outgrowing who you used to be but haven’t fully stepped into who you’re becoming. When you’re carrying more than you realized.
When fear feels louder than clarity.
When you know something is shifting — even if you can’t yet explain it.
The For When series was born out of those seasons.
The Beginning of the For When Series
I didn’t set out to write traditional self-help books.
I wanted to write something softer.
Something that didn’t rush people toward solutions. Something that didn’t demand immediate growth or forced positivity. Something that felt more like steady companionship than instruction.
Over time, I began noticing a pattern — both in my own life and in the lives of the women and teens around me.
We all experience these quiet emotional turning points:
For when you’re waking up.
For when you’re carrying too much.
For when you’re afraid.
For when you feel lost.
For when you’re ready to receive.
And for young girls especially — for when you’re growing up and everything feels like it’s changing at once.
The series became a way to name those moments.
Not to fix them.
But to sit with them.
Books for Women and Teen Girls
While many of the books are written for women navigating life transitions, emotional growth, and seasons of becoming, I also felt strongly about writing for teen girls.
Growing up can feel like living in constant transition.
Identity shifts.
Friendships change.
Confidence wavers.
Belonging feels fragile.
The teen book in the series holds space for that season — offering gentle reassurance instead of pressure to have everything figured out.
Whether you’re a woman navigating a new chapter or a teen girl learning to trust your own voice, the heart behind the series is the same:
You are not behind.
You are not broken.
You are becoming.
Why I Believe in Quiet Growth
In my own life, I’ve come to understand that growth rarely happens in dramatic leaps.
More often, it unfolds quietly.
It happens when we pause long enough to notice what we’re feeling.
When we allow ourselves to question old beliefs.
When we admit we’re tired.
When we stop pretending we have all the answers.
The For When series isn’t about transformation through force.
It’s about clarity through reflection.
These books are meant to feel like someone sitting beside you — not telling you what to do, but reminding you that you’re allowed to take your time finding your way.
If You’re in a Season Right Now
If you’ve found yourself in one of those in-between places — uncertain, overwhelmed, afraid, or simply aware that something is shifting — I hope the For When series meets you gently there.

Growth doesn’t have to be loud to be real.
Sometimes it simply begins with awareness.
